Pinkalicious

We’re all sick…

AND IT SUCKS!

Babies are coughing up little mini baby storms. Daddies are trying to act like they’re not really that sick. ha, yea right! Mamas are hoping this cold suppresses the appetite just enough to be able to fit in those ‘a little tight lately’ jeans. It’s a sad sight around here. Sad!

As sick as I am and as winey as I am, I had to pull it together and swallow those big ass DayQuil pills because this little girl….

is having a birthday party tomorrow.

A PINKALICIOUS party, to be exact! And her Mama asked ME to make her some pinkalicious cupcakes.

uuhhhhh, YEA!!! I don’t care how sick I am – that girl is getting her cupcakes! UNDERSTOOD?!

I did my very best to turn this idea…

into this.

Y’all, I could’ve SWORE that icing was pinker in the bowl! And for some reason, the little bit of pink it is…the camera isn’t picking it up in contrast to those cherries. I hope she doesn’t notice. ;)

My head was in such a over-the-counter-drug induced cloud while baking these cupcakes that when I finally finished and took a good look around, I had myself a good laugh.

If Bobby would have EVER done this to my kitchen, I probably would have needed to be detained to stop the physical violence I would inflict {joke, folks! Just a joke!}

I have NEVER been this messy in a kitchen! NEVER! And this is only two pictures, I was too embarrassed to show the rest. If any of my former students saw this, they would have every right to wag their little studious fingers at me because I would’ve taken SOOOOOOOOOOO many points off their cooking lab score for doing just this! {I was once a FACS/Home Ec teacher}.

In my world, double standards are ok with me as long as CUPCAKES are involved!!!

  7. They are fantastic! If that's the result of DayQuil, maybe you should rock it a little more often. Heh.

  8. Thats Charlie's favorite book. Not Eleanore's favorite, but Charlie's. I read it 100 times a day. I've changed the words so many times, to try to make it more interesting to me, but at this point- I'm ready to bury the book.

    The cupcakes turned out GORGEOUS. For being sick and sucking on dayquil, you outdid yourself.

    10 mom points awarded to you, Miss Lacey.
