I remember being annoyed that my mom insisted I take a picture of it. Now…I’m so thankful she did. Otherwise my kids and grandkids may not believe me when I’m all old and out of cool points.

This was back in the late 90’s when it was “cool” to pierce things on your face. I was the first person at my school to do it so I definitely racked up some cool points. It wasn’t until two years later when I was 18 when I finally decided to cash in my cool points by taking it out. I was meeting a boyfriend’s parents for the first time and I didn’t think it helped with my first impression. I took it out, moved on from that phase and never looked back. silly teenagers – they do the darndest things.

Moving on…

#3 with SIX VOTES for false: “When I was around 10 or 11, I got the best pet I ever had, a Burmese python named Pete” this is…….

I really loved that snake! This picture was taken when he was still a baby. He grew to be over 6-7 feet long and had a torso the width of a softball! I had to get rid of him when he escaped from his cage and slithered his way into my parent’s bedroom! Needless to say, my mom [who found him] kicked him out of the house. He ended up moving in with my uncle where he lived and grew a few more years before he escaped there too. He was killed by a neighbor who found him in their front yard. :(

and lastly….

#2 with NOT A SINGLE VOTE for false: “When I was in junior high, I jumped from a swinging tree rope and landed on the bayou’s bank, breaking my leg in two places. I had to walk on crutches for 10 weeks”

I sure fooled you!! That is NOT true! gotcha, suckas!

Well, hold up….it’s not ENTIRELY false either….just mostly. What really happened was…When I was in the 3rd grade, at recess I jumped from a playground swing at it’s highest…uhhh….swing, landing on my elbow, breaking my arm. I had to wear a cast for 8 weeks or something like that.

yes, that IS a scrunchy in my hair! and YES that’s me…sitting with my knees in my shirt so it looked like I had boobs. I was only 9, give me a break!
