Here’s how you make a not-so-favorable situation in Williston, North Dakota….slightly favorable.
#1 - Make a snow angel in the middle of an Albertson’s parking lot.
Rest assured, this WILL creep out the locals. Do it anyway, it’s fun! Just make sure you wear snow pants or a second layer on your butt because if you don’t, your butt and the back of your thighs will be a block of ice for AT LEAST two hours post-angel. Trust me, I speak from personal experience. ;)
#2 – Go downtown and search for really cool landmarks – like this original Penneys sign from the 60’s!
#3 – Make a snowman - even if the snow just so happens to be slightly unfavorable for snowman production [fluffy and dry as cotton balls], a 2-D model will work just fine.
#4 – Be incredibly grateful that the toy plane they put you on to go home managed to keep itself in the air long enough to get you back home to your babies!
4 minus 2
WE ARE FINALLY HOME SWEET HOME!
P.S. I am NEVER leaving my babies again. I know….never say never, but for now, my wound is pretty fresh and I am just not interested. We even went so far as to cancel our upcoming trip to NYC we planned to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary [april 1]. We can celebrate our special day anywhere and plan to do just that…with our babies in tow!
You could not have paid me enough to get on that plane! You're a brave girl
ReplyDeleteL-M-A-O at you making a snow angel!!! I did the same thing when I saw real snow the first time in Park City this Christmas. I guess that's just what us Cajun people do when we see snow.
ReplyDeleteI guess, being from Vermont, I've simply known my whole life never jump into the snow without skipants, unless you want to freeze your butt off. Just thinking about you in that snow without skipants makes me terribly cold. I could never do it.
